“You too can make a positive change to the lives of people around you” (Pope Francis)

Ashwell residents can give back to the community through volunteering.

At Baytree Centre, a social inclusion charity for women and girls, you can help to run after-school youth activities such as cookery, maths, science and art clubs, as well as organising fundraising events.

Ashwell can also help organise visits to the elderly and others in need, or volunteering at soup kitchens.

We have organised several international volunteering projects in Romania, Uganda, Kenya, Poland, Estonia and Mexico.  We work in partnership with local NGOs who have good knowledge of local needs.  Ashwell volunteers work with project leaders to fundraise, acquire a basic knowledge of the local language and build an effective team.
