Concerts- photo of a concert at Ashwell House

Everywhere around the world, music plays a major part of people's lives. Here at Ashwell, this is no different. Great enjoyment is had when those lucky enough to play or perform entertain their fellow residents during celebrations.

Apart from the casual music-making special occasions such as Christmas and Easter find more formal venues for musical expression, meaning choir practise and rehearsals. Ashwell has its own choir which performs at the yearly Christmas Carol Concert and on other occasions. Over the years, resident musicians have performed in various concerts including a harp soloist and a brass band.

Friends and family are all invited to attend the final event of every year: the Carol Concert held in the Hall. Seasonal hymns, solo items and pieces performed by the Ashwell House Choir combine to make this a really pleasurable event. Minced pies and mulled wine are served. The afternoon would not be complete without a raffle and a visit from Father Christmas.
